I earned my Ed.S. degree in Counseling Psychology from James Madison University. Prior to that I obtained my M.S. degree in Family and Child Development from Virginia Tech. I have also completed a pre-doctoral internship at Duke University Counseling and Psychological Services.
As a Licensed Psychological Associate with over 15 years of experience, I have provided psychotherapy in a variety of settings, including the Counseling Center at NC State University. My areas of interest/specialty include mood disorders (depression and bipolar), anxiety, worry and Obsesssive Compulsive Disorder in chidren and teens (ages 6 and up), couples' and family counseling, career testing and counseling, ADHD, women's issues, postpartum depression and anxiety, relationships, grief and loss, eating disorders, recovery from trauma, and stress management.
